The Sounds Conservancy has four endowed funds and represents 20% of the QLF Endowment. The funds are as follows:
The Norcross Wildlife Fund
Consists of donations from The Norcross Wildlife Foundation, Inc. Fund income to be used specifically for grants for student research and education projects within the southern New England region.
The Charles W. Kitchings Fund
Consists of donations from the Chester W. Kitchings Foundation, Inc. Funding of applied research and investigation toward a better understanding and management of the southern New England marine life and marine environment, limited to Long Island Sound, Fishers Island Sound, Peconic Bays and Gardiner’s Bay region.
The Sounds Conservancy Fund
Consists of individual, foundation, memorial, and special event contributions. Fund income to be used specifically for grants for student research and education projects within the southern New England region.
The Sounds Conservancy Operating Fund
Fund income to be used for administering the affairs of The Sounds Conservancy Student Research Endowment and, specifically, its student research grant program.
